As stated before, I am one of the eight
owners of the Live8.org website. Keeping your offer in mind, I would like to
walk you through the basic purpose behind the creation of the Live8.org website.
In June of 2008, Turkey was devastated by
an earthquake which left millions without the basic necessities of life and
millions more without their loved ones. The aid that was given to our country
always arrived a little too late and was insufficient. According to my personal
opinion, Turkey could be brought back to its former glory by self-sufficiency.
Along with the artistic talents of seven experts, Live 8 Art Galleries were
created, consisting of artworks based on survival, finding hope in the depths
of tragedy, self-dependency and human courage. In a small but significant way,
our company has helped Turkey return to its prior self.
The elementary purpose behind the creation
of Live 8 Art Galleries was to inculcate a sense of self-reliance amongst the
people in such a way that dependency on foreign aid for the betterment of their
situations could be eradicated. One of the main reasons behind the production
of this website was to bring about awareness towards the fact that most of
the aid that reached the troubled areas was either insufficient, late or taken
over by those in charge, not always reaching the people in need.
Furthermore, the overall cost that went
into creating the website was twenty-five thousand dollars; five thousand
dollars went into buying the domain name and the rest were spent in the overall
design and working on the website.
Therefore, it is requested that you
revisit your offer, in the light of my aforementioned illustrations.
